I think you have hit the nail on the head my friend. I for example I support the infinite universe concepts of a non finite universe. The universe is massive beyond comprehention, life can created given the correct ingredients. We are not special, and in terms of life we are not the least intelligent in the universe but we are also not the most intelligent, as a species we should sit somewhere in the middle.

Well life is only too far away if a species halts it’s technological progression. We have advanced incredible amounts in the last century introducing space flight, moon landings and a permanent home in space not to mention the improvement of our general understanding of the cosmos. But agreed when it comes to the hunt for life single celled organisms should be as important as complex intelligent life. However it is interesting to think that when it comes to intelligent alien life, that they’ll have their own culture, their own technologies and so on. I think this is what adds to the pop culture of intelligent life ‘UFOs’ etc.

Yes you are correct there is a certain mass/speed paradox that comes into place. This however is why I find time travel through gravity interesting, although we hit another problem, any object in space with a large enough mass and gravitational force is a very very long way away an unachievable distance given today’s technology. But none the less in the future maybe we could master the use of gravity to time travel or live in different time frames.

Isn’t amazing to think that others could be out there, some of lesser intelligence and some of greater. And to think what their biological make up would be like? What will they breath? And how will their produce energy? The question I always wonder is would we want to meet them? Could they be hostile?

That the andromeda galaxy, the closet spiral galaxy ( the same as own our) is 2.5 million light years away. Thats 2.5 million years traveling at the speed of light (671 million Mph/ 1,080 Kph). That would take a long time with the fastest we can travel.

I suppose the time travel that I am suggesting would be based on allowing a human to live a duration that would otherwise be impossible. Not using string theory but simply speed. Everything as you suggested would still be happening ‘at once’.

You are correct, travelling forwards in time is far more likely than travelling backwards. Travelling forwards can easily be achieved by high speeds, gravity and warps that NASA are currently working on. Traveling backwards in time is far more less likely. In fact it breaks certain laws of physics, even the common fundamentals such as cause and effect. However its possible, for example a collision of black holes would have an adverse effect in time due to the mass of the objects. On a certain path you could travel around the black holes and through this ‘ripple’ of time arrive at the point in which you began before you started. You would arrive in the past.

Hello there, but is the present all that there is? In fact try to define the present. At first glance this seems easy, it could simply be what is happening here and now, not what has or could happen. But the present is only relative to it’s observation point as factors like gravity effect time, this means time is a variable ( not consistent through out the universe). Although I do admit we lack the technology to bend space time, on paper through the principles of physics it’s possible. By theory if you could travel around the earth 7 times a second (99.9% the speed of light) you would experience time on a slower scale to those who are just standing on the planet. In a single week you could travel 100 years into the future.
